Connection with Airports
There is no airport in Pavia, but you can fly to any of the Milan area airports and easily get to Pavia. There are the three following airports in the Milan area:
- Milano Linate Airport (LIN), 50 km from Pavia
- Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP), 90 km from Pavia
- Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY), 100 km from Pavia
From Milano Linate Airport (LIN) to Pavia
Take metro line 4 from Linate Airport to Milano Dateo. In Milano Dateo, take local trains which stop in Pavia.
For the metro line the ticket costs 2.20 Euro and you can buy it before taking the metro line.
There are many different local trains from Milano Dateo to Pavia, e.g., S13 or regional trains (R, RE, RV) that stop in Pavia. For the local train the ticket costs around 4.40 Euro and you can buy either at the station or using the website Trenitalia or Trenord.
Other secondary options to go from Linate Airport to Pavia could be the following:
- Take the Linate Shuttle (APT2) from Linate Airport to Milano Central Train Station. From Milano Central train station, there are many regional trains reaching Pavia.
- Take bus line n.88 connecting Linate Airport to Milano Rogoredo train station and from Milano Rogoredo train station take local train S13 to Pavia.
From Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Pavia
- From Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 take the train Malpensa Express XP1, the ticket costs 13 Euro, to Milano Central Train Station. In Milano Centrale take local trains (R, RE, RV) which stop in Pavia.

Pavia is on the A7 Milano-Genova highway, 30 kilometers south of Milano Ring Road (Tangenziale). The exit for Pavia is Bereguardo/Pavia Nord.
